The
MDEX facilitates the trading of futures, index futures, index
options, interest rate futures, and government securities
futures. The MDEX operates under the supervision of the SC
and is governed by the FIA.
Futures Broker’s Representatives (FBR) act as agents
for the trading members who are governed by the MDEX Business
Rules. The FBRs are required to be licensed by the SC under
the FIA and they carry out the following functions:
- execution
of trades

collection of margins from customers
- provide
basic accounting records
- advise
customers in their trading.

any complaints against licensed futures brokers or their representatives,
you may lodged them with the MDEX at:

FMUTM
While the SC is also the regulator of the unit trust industry
and issues guidelines on unit trust funds, the Federation
of Malaysian Unit Trust Managers (FMUTM) is responsible for
registering all persons who want to market and distribute
unit trust products. When dealing with such agents, you should
ask to see the Authorisation Card issued by the FMUTM.
If
you are unsatisfied with services provided by your unit trust
agents, you may lodge a complaint with FMUTM at:

Non-Securities Law Offences
The Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) administers the
CA which provides facilities for the incorporation of companies,
its constitution, its relation with members and creditors,
management and winding-up. The Act also protects the right
and interests of shareholders in particular, and investors
in general.
