You can report abuses in the securities industry to the Securities Commission through the Complaints Unit. Send all complaints in writing, with the complainant's name, address and telephone number to:

What will the SC do with my complaints?
Your complaints sent to the Complaints Unit are assessed to determine whether there is any breach of the securities laws. Should the preliminary enquiry reveal such a breach, the complaint would be forwarded to the Investigation Department to be converted into an investigation paper, whereby a formal investigation would be instituted. Otherwise, the matter would not be pursued; the files would be closed or put aside until
further information is obtained. Complaints disclosing no breach of securities laws but possible breaches of regulations or rules of other authorities would be forwarded to the authorities concerned, such as the police or the Registrar of Companies (ROC), for further action.

Depending on the severity of the contravention, formal investigations may lead to either one or a combination of the following: warning letters, compounds and prosecutions.

As a wise investor, you should know your rights and responsibilities. Be aware of the rules that protect you and your investments, and the legal recourse if things go wrong. If you suspect abuses in the industry and are able to support your allegations, submit your complaints to the SC so that necessary action can be taken against the perpetrators.
