Title This competition is known as Intervarsity Financial Literacy Movie (I-FiLM) Competition (the “Competition”). Organiser SIDC has been delivering professional excellence for more than 10 years. We organise training programmes for Malaysian and foreign regulators, company directors and market professionals as well as conduct public investor education seminars on wise investing and investors’ rights. We develop and facilitate training both locally and internationally through a range of programmes and activities, including conferences, seminars, and workshops. In collaboration with the Securities Commission, Malaysia, we develop examination questions and modules and conduct licensing examinations as part of the licensing regime for Malaysian capital market intermediaries. Objective
The Competition is open to all university students (including undergraduates and postgraduates) studying at any Institution of Higher Learning (including but not limited to Polytechnics, Colleges and Universities) in Malaysia EXCEPT their employees and the immediate family members of the Organiser and judges.
Participation in the Competition may either be as an individual or in a team, consisting of a maximum of five (5) persons (“Participants”). *IMPORTANT: Members of the team must be from the same university / polytechnics / colleges / etc. Students from different polytechnics / colleges / universities / etc are not allowed to submit an entry as a team.
The contest consists of the following elements: 4.1 THE VIDEO
*IMPORTANT: The minimum duration of the video is ONE (1) MINUTE and the maximum duration is THREE (3) MINUTES. 4.1.1 The video should send a message urging undergraduates to become more money savvy and interested in investing for their future. The possible topics or themes include (but is not limited to):
* Participants are free to choose more than one topic for the video. Participants may also choose any other financial management or investment topic, as long as they relate it to their fellow campus students. Reference Participants may refer to the I-FiLM Competition Reference Videos playlist on the BMWSIDC Facebook page to get an idea of the type of video entries that we are looking for. The link to the Facebook page is: http://www.facebook.com/BMWSIDC 4.1.2 Participants may use any type of recording device(s) (e.g. video cameras, mobile phones, smart phones, webcams, etc.) to record their video. 4.1.3 The videos must not contain the following:
4.1.4 Participants will upload their video using their YouTube account and indicate the link for the video to the Organiser (in the registration form).
4.2 THE BMWSIDC FACEBOOK STAGE
*IMPORTANT: Only those who “Like” the BMWSIDC Facebook Fan page will be able to vote for the videos.
Each individual or team may submit their entry from 15 December 2011 until 11 February 2012 only. *IMPORTANT: Only short-listed entries will be uploaded to BMWSIDC’s Facebook Fan page to stand a chance to win the prizes.
All entries to the Competition must be submitted to and received by the Organiser before or on 11th of February 2012. Infringement of any third party rights is strictly prohibited and will result in automatic disqualification. In the event of any claims, Participants must take full responsibility and deal with the said third party claims at their own costs. The Organiser accepts no responsibility or liability in such matters. Participants shall indemnify the Organiser against any claims or indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages from any third party action that may arise from the Competition Entry submitted under the Competition.
Judging is at the sole and absolute discretion of the judges and all decisions made are final. Judging will be conducted based on the following criteria: a.Content as defined in Rule 4.1.1 b.Clarity and style c.Accuracy of content topic(s) d.Ability to engage and hold audience attention e.Creativity & originality f.Others

By entering the Competition, the Participants agree to provide the Organiser with the right to use the Competition materials for showcasing any and all works produced by the Participants under the Competition for the Organiser’s promotional purposes. The Participants further agree that the Organiser reserves the right to use the Participants’ name in connection with such promotional uses, but shall have no obligation to do so.
Upon submission of Competition Entries, no revisions, amendments, modifications or changes will be accepted and any request for the return of the Competition Entries will not be entertained (except for those that have been approved by the Organiser).
The Organiser, their group of companies and their employees hereby disclaim any and all liabilities that may arise in connection with the Competition Entries. Further, the Organiser and its employees shall not be held responsible for any Competition Entries that are lost or damaged in transit. Competition Entries are automatically rejected if they are incomplete, unreadable, damaged, or otherwise not in compliance with the Competition Rules and Regulations. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or extend the Competition at any point of time.
As a condition of participating in the Competition, the Participants agree that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Competition, shall be received individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Malaysia having competent jurisdiction.
By submitting a Competition Entry and therefore participating in the Competition, each Participant agrees to be bound by and abide by these Rules and Regulations, including any amendments, modifications and/or interpretation of these Rules and Regulations, as well as decisions made by the Organiser.
